Aperian GlobalSelf-Assessment Questionnaire
Instructions The following 60 statements are designed to tap into key aspects of crossing cultures and assuming professional positions overseas. Areas such as communication, problem solving, decision-making and interpersonal relations are explored. The comments and interpretations in this self-assessment questionnaire are intended to help you determine your current suitability for a global assignment. They are neither an evaluation of your cross-cultural competence nor are they a test of your potential abilities. The statements will help you to examine your interest and readiness for a global assignment. They will remain confidential unless you choose to share them with others. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers. Although some of the statements may seem similar, no two are exactly alike. The purpose of this self-assessment will be best served if you describe yourself as accurately as possible. Please respond to every statement and respond to them as honestly as possible as the results will help you to learn if you are appropriate for an international assignment. Think about each question with respect to your own personal life, your career interests, skills, values, expectations and goals. The statements will provide you with 60 self-assessment questions in five categories including: Family (13 questions), Children (8 questions), Career (13 questions), Self (13 questions), and Motivation (13 questions). There is no time limit; however, we suggest spending between 20 and 30 minutes to complete the questions. This evaluation must be completed all at once. If you leave the evaluation in the middle, your answers will not be saved. Each of the 60 statements asks you to choose one of the four following responses:
